Two ways to put a face on the brand

Labeled as AI, by default
Audiences spot AI and hate being fooled. Own it: that's also what the law and the platforms ask for.
- US: the FTC bans fake reviews and testimonials, AI-generated ones included (16 CFR Part 465, in force since October 21, 2024). Never pass an AI actor off as a real customer.
- France: law no. 2023-451 (Article 5) requires an “Image virtuelle” (virtual image) notice on any AI-generated face in commercial content.
- EU: the AI Act (Article 50) requires deepfake-style content to be disclosed, starting August 2, 2026.
- TikTok and Meta: turn on their “AI-generated” label when you post. TikTok rejects realistic-avatar ads that aren't labeled.
- In Kelpo: every MP4 carries an “AI-generated with Kelpo” tag in its metadata, and you can ask the editor to add an on-screen “AI-generated” caption.
Your objections, answered
- My clients don't want AI.
- Offer the owner's clone: it's really them, in their own voice, with their written consent. Keep AI for formats where people accept it (weekly offers, hours, FAQs, hooks to test) and sell it as extra Reels, not a replacement for shoots.
- Do I have to label it as AI?
- Plan on it. In the US, the FTC bans fake testimonials, AI included, so present an AI actor for what it is. In the EU, the AI Act requires deepfake disclosure starting August 2, 2026. Turn on TikTok's or Meta's AI label; TikTok says it doesn't reduce reach.
- What about quality and the uncanny valley?

- Can I predict the cost?
- Yes. A fixed price per second of video: $4.98–$9.50 per 15-second Reel depending on the pack, excl. tax, with no subscription. Credits stay valid for a year, so your flat-fee retainers hold up.
- What about my client's likeness and voice rights?
- Have your client sign a release (template in the kit below). In Kelpo, you confirm you hold those rights before making a video with a real person. No release, no clone.
- Isn't 15 seconds too short?
- It's the right length for a hook, an announcement or an offer. For longer pieces, stitch several videos together in the Kelpo editor.
- Does Kelpo replace UGC creators?
- No. AI is for testing hooks and producing at volume; when a version wins, have a creator or your client shoot it. The two work together.
- Can I bill clients under my own business?
- Yes. You buy credits as your business (address and tax ID on the invoice) and bill your Reels however you like. Once you've bought your first pack, your MP4s carry no visible Kelpo mark; only videos made with the free seconds show a small “AI video · kelpo.app” tag.
